Senior Culinary Executive

About the Senior Culinary Role:

The primary objective is to maintain a seamless operation by constantly analyzing quality and cost of food production, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and fostering a positive atmosphere within the administration department.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain efficiency and monitor time management to optimize service delivery and presentation.
  • Provide ongoing training and ensure that corporate standards are upheld through mentorship, coaching, and counseling of subordinates.
  • Ensure safe, quality food products and oversee daily food tastings to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Develop and comply with organizational systems, procedures, rules, objectives, and timescales, adopting a disciplined approach when undertaking tasks.
  • Improve the quality of service and product provided within a technical/specialized area of expertise, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Avoid conflicts and adopt an accommodating manner, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve set goals in a non-assertive and efficient manner.
  • Monitor electronic food requisitions according to forecasted figures, adhering to Public Health regulations at all times.
  • Oversee the Dinner Service Line to ensure smooth and efficient service, presentation, and final plating, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced culinary skills, leadership, and experience, with a minimum of 8 years in the profession (Quality Hotels and Restaurants).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role in a well-recognized luxury hospitality establishment or upscale cruise line.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, effective communication with senior management, and ability to lead and make decisions.
  • Good administrative skills, experienced in coaching subordinates, cost, and quality conscious, flexible work schedule, international team collaboration, and work under pressure (time constraints).
