Job Overview:
We are seeking a Social Media Planner who is highly creative, self-driven, and able to craft innovative social media strategies. This role focuses on developing forward-thinking social media plans that elevate brand presence, foster engagement, and build a loyal online community. The ideal candidate will be an independent thinker who can handle the end-to-end planning and execution of social media strategies without requiring micromanagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy Development:
Create and execute innovative social media strategies tailored to the brand's voice and audience. Plan campaigns that boost visibility, engagement, and brand loyalty across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Content Strategy & Calendar:
Design a content plan and social media calendar that aligns with key campaigns, product launches, and brand goals. Prioritize creative, engaging content while ensuring timely execution.
- Trendspotting & Creative Thinking:
Stay ahead of social media trends and emerging platforms, integrating popular trends and content formats (e.g., Reels, Stories) into your strategy. Suggest bold, fresh, and unique ideas for content that captivates the audience.
- Autonomous Execution:
Own and manage social media planning from concept to execution with minimal oversight. Be proactive in suggesting new content ideas and planning out campaigns that align with the brand's objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the design and marketing teams to ensure the content and campaigns are aligned with overall brand messaging and objectives. Communicate regularly with the team to stay aligned on upcoming projects.
- Performance Monitoring & Adjustments:
Track the success of implemented strategies and tweak plans accordingly to optimize performance. Use analytics tools to monitor the effectiveness of content and adjust plans based on data insights.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience:
3+ years of experience in social media planning, strategy, or content management. Strong portfolio of successful campaigns and creative strategies.
- Creativity:
A proven ability to generate unique and creative ideas for social media campaigns that resonate with target audiences.
- Independence:
Ability to plan, execute, and manage social media strategies with little supervision. You are a self-starter who thrives on taking ownership and driving projects forward.
- Strategic Thinking:
Ability to think long-term and build out strategies that align with business goals while remaining adaptable to change.
- Platform Expertise:
Deep understanding of major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok. Experience with content types such as stories, posts, videos, and reels.
- Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate brand messaging into engaging social media content.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling tools like Buffer, Later, Heropost, or Hootsuite.
- Experience in content planning and execution across multiple platforms.
