Role Overview

The Creative Head of Marketing will lead and drive the team responsible for conceptualizing, creating, and executing compelling campaigns and content that strengthen the brand, engage target audiences, and support business goals. This role blends creative leadership, strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on oversight of marketing assets across channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Strategy & Vision
  • Define the creative vision and direction for the brand in alignment with marketing and business objectives
  • Translate brand strategy into creative briefs, campaigns, content pillars, and guidelines
  • Maintain consistency of brand voice, look and feel across all touchpoints
  • Campaign & Content Leadership
  • Lead ideation, concept development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns (digital, social, video, offline, print, experiential, etc.)
  • Oversee content planning and production: visuals, copy, motion, video, interactive, etc.
  • Approve and refine creative deliverables to ensure quality, brand alignment, and efficacy
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing creative team (designers, copywriters, video, motion, etc.)
  • Foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement
  • Provide feedback, performance reviews, and professional development opportunities
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales, UX, and other teams to ensure alignment of creative with campaign goals and user experience
  • Present concepts and campaign ideas to senior leadership
  • Manage external creative agencies, freelancers, vendors where needed
  • Budget, Process & Execution Management
  • Oversee the creative budget: resource allocation, cost efficiencies, vendor negotiations
  • Establish and optimize workflows, processes, and timelines to deliver creative outputs on time
  • Monitor campaign performance, iterate creative based on results, insights, and analytics
  • Trend & Innovation Monitoring
  • Stay updated on design, content, marketing, media, and technology trends
  • Recommend and drive adoption of new tools, channels, techniques, and formats
  • Experiment with new creative approaches (e.g. AR/VR, immersive, interactive, generative design)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master's or MBA is a plus)
  • 8–12+ years of experience in creative roles (agency or in-house) with at least 3–5 years in a leadership capacity
  • Proven track record of leading successful, integrated marketing campaigns and creative output
  • Deep knowledge of visual design, copywriting, storytelling, digital media, video, UX, motion graphics
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working with analytics and using data/insight to optimize creative
  • Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
  • Creative, strategic, and entrepreneurial mindset
