Job Overview:

We are expanding our Rooftop Solar Sales Team in Bangalore and are looking for a motivated and technically inclined Junior Solar Sales Engineer to join our growing renewable energy business. The ideal candidate will assist in business development, client coordination, technical evaluations, and proposal preparation for commercial, industrial, hospitality, and residential rooftop solar projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in solar sales while working alongside senior engineers and technical experts.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Support senior sales engineers in identifying and developing new business leads.
  • Assist in preparing client proposals, quotations, and presentations.
  • Engage with consultants, builders, and clients to understand project requirements.
  • Help in maintaining client relationships and ensuring timely follow-ups.
  • Contribute to achieving team sales goals and company targets.

Technical Support & Project Coordination

  • Conduct preliminary site assessments and collect data for solar feasibility studies.
  • Assist in system sizing, layout design coordination, and basic cost estimation.
  • Work closely with design and engineering teams for proposal finalization.
  • Understand PV system components including panels, inverters, and mounting structures.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and safety practices during project evaluation.

Market Awareness

  • Stay informed about the latest solar technologies, products, and government policies.
  • Research potential market opportunities and competitors to support strategic planning.

Travel & Representation

Willingness to travel for client visits, site surveys, and meetings as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education

  • B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, or EEE (or equivalent).

Experience

  • 2–3 years in solar sales, business development, or technical pre-sales.

  • Basic understanding of PV systems, structural requirements, and energy generation concepts.

  • Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a performance-driven environment.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
