Engineer - Sales / Lead generation

Role & responsibilities
- Identify and qualify potential leads in target markets using various tools, platforms, and networking channels.
- Research and analyze industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to identify opportunities.
- Develop and execute lead generation strategies tailored to manufacturing, engineering, or automotive sectors.
- Build and maintain a strong database of prospective clients using CRM tools.
- Engage with prospective customers via phone calls, emails, LinkedIn, and trade shows/events.
- Schedule meetings or calls between qualified leads and sales executives.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align on campaigns and messaging.
- Maintain accurate records of lead generation activities and performance metrics.
- Track conversion rates and continuously optimize lead generation processes.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
- 37 years of experience in lead generation, sales, or business development roles in manufacturing, engineering, or automotive industries.
- Proven track record of identifying and qualifying high-potential leads.
- Strong understanding of industrial products, solutions, and technical sales cycles.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM, HubSpot).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings or trade shows.
