Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for FTL services in the Chennai and South India market.
- Build a strong pipeline of prospects through market research, networking, cold calls, and client visits.
- Develop customized proposals, quotations, and presentations for potential clients.
- Negotiate rates, service terms, and contracts with clients.
- Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales and revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Act as a single point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Resolve client issues promptly in coordination with the operations and customer service teams.
- Conduct periodic client reviews to evaluate satisfaction and explore upselling opportunities.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
- Provide regular feedback to management on pricing, service offerings, and market developments.
- Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and regional growth strategies.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with the operations, fleet management, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of services.
- Share customer insights with internal teams to improve service offerings.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards for management review.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 58 years of experience in sales within logistics/transportation (at least 3 years in FTL segment).
- Strong network of clients in manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or e-commerce industries.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
