Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for FTL services in the Chennai and South India market.
  • Build a strong pipeline of prospects through market research, networking, cold calls, and client visits.
  • Develop customized proposals, quotations, and presentations for potential clients.
  • Negotiate rates, service terms, and contracts with clients.
  • Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales and revenue targets.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
  • Act as a single point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve client issues promptly in coordination with the operations and customer service teams.
  • Conduct periodic client reviews to evaluate satisfaction and explore upselling opportunities.

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.
  • Provide regular feedback to management on pricing, service offerings, and market developments.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and regional growth strategies.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the operations, fleet management, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of services.
  • Share customer insights with internal teams to improve service offerings.
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance dashboards for management review.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 58 years of experience in sales within logistics/transportation (at least 3 years in FTL segment).
  • Strong network of clients in manufacturing, FMCG, retail, or e-commerce industries.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
