Business Development Manager

We are seeking a driven and proactive Business Development Executive to support client acquisition efforts for our wealth management business. The role focuses on identifying potential clients, building relationships, and supporting the sales team in converting leads into long-term clients. The ideal candidate should be well-networked, possess a good understanding of investment products, and have a client-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Client Prospecting & Lead Generation:
o Identify and connect with potential UHNI/ HNI and affluent clients through personal networks, referrals, industry events, digital platforms, and channel partnerships.
o Leverage existing client base and relationship managers' contacts to expand outreach.
o Use cold calling only as a last resort, focusing first on warm leads and strategic networking.
2.Client Engagement & Acquisition:
o Support client meetings, pitch wealth solutions tailored to client needs, and assist in onboarding processes.
o Assist in the preparation of client proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to support business development efforts and enhance the firm's market presence.
o Understand client profiles, financial goals, and risk appetite to help craft suitable investment offerings.
o Collaborate closely with relationship managers to transition acquired clients for long-term servicing.
3.Sales Enablement:
o Maintain and update sales pipeline and activity tracker on CRM.
o Coordinate with marketing, research, and product teams to create effective pitches and proposals.
o Provide timely follow-ups and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients.
4.Market Awareness:
o Stay updated on market trends, financial products (mutual funds, PMS, AIFs, insurance, bonds, etc.), and competitor offerings.
o Attend relevant training, webinars, and industry events to expand product and domain knowledge.
Qualification & Experience:
•
Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Business, Economics, or related fields.
•3-7 years of experience in business development, client acquisition, or financial sales (preferably in wealth management or banking).
•Strong interpersonal, networking, and relationship-building skills.
•Good understanding of financial products and investment solutions.
•Self-motivated with a target-oriented approach.
