Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development

  • Proactively identify and solicit new catering business opportunities from corporate, social, wedding, and group segments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, event planners, and local organizations to generate repeat and referral business.
  • Assist in preparing annual sales action plans, strategies, and budgets specific to the catering segment.
  • Negotiate contracts and proposals to maximize revenue and profitability while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Work closely with banquet and culinary teams to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct site inspections, client meetings, and pre-convention conferences as required.
  • Oversee catering event details from contract signing to event execution, ensuring all client requirements are met.
  • Provide creative input for menu planning, event setups, and special themes.

Revenue & Reporting

  • Support the DOSM in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual catering sales targets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to adjust sales strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records in the sales system Opera including client interactions, proposals, and contracts.
  • Generate regular sales reports and forecasts.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor and guide sales executives/coordinators in catering sales activities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to cross-sell catering with group rooms, meetings, and conventions.
  • Support training initiatives to maintain high standards of sales effectiveness and guest service.
