Organization A private investment firm based out of New York City that invests in early-stage software companies driving digital transformation in their respective industries. As investors we seek companies that we have identified as having proprietary technological innovation, strong product market fit, and a scalable business model. We typically fund companies in the Seed to Series A round, and then explore co-investment opportunities for B rounds or later. We have a competitive advantage in our area of the market where we identify disruptive technologies and bring them a significant amount of capital to pull forward their product development timelines and prime their businesses for rapid growth.
Role: We are looking to add an analyst to support our growing investment fund and portfolio companies. The role will engage across all functions of the firm and will have exposure to the entire deal process from origination, due-diligence, deal structuring and post-investment management. We are seeking to add a Private Equity Analyst that is looking for a unique combination of traditional investment analysis work along with direct operational work within our portfolio companies. An ideal candidate is somebody that thrives in a start-up environment and has the desire to take initiatives across every aspect of building a business.
Responsibilities
• Interact daily with the Founder of the fund and work on current projects.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies across our portfolio companies including sales & marketing strategies, operating efficiency improvement, strengthen financial controls, and business model development/refinement.
• Extensive financial modeling including the development of core business model concepts for portfolio companies.
• Assist in performing new investment opportunity sourcing and diligence and participate in the negotiation and deal structuring process.
• Assist in fundraising responsibilities across the firm and its assets.
• Assist with ongoing monitoring of assets with the firm's portfolio companies including review of monthly operating results and maintaining overall performance review.
Candidate
  • Strong academic credentials – finance and accounting background preferred.
  • MBA from Tier 1/ 2 colleges
  • Looking for a mature, responsible, intelligent investor that is prepared to take on a wide variety of initiatives.
  • Knowledge of business growth strategy and the risk/return characteristics of private investment opportunities including valuation.
  • Extensive financial modeling skills and experience in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work with small startup teams.
  • Clear and concise English writing and communication skills.
