Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Accounting Analyst to join our Wealth Management team. This role combines hands-on investment operations with business analysis, supporting accurate and timely accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of client portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial products, client account servicing, and a keen interest in improving operational workflows and data management across the wealth management value chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Operations & Accounting:

  • Process daily investment transactions across a variety of financial instruments including equities, fixed income, mutual funds, Hedge Funds/AIFs, PMS, and structured products.
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations of holdings, transactions, and cash balances between internal systems, custodians, and third-party platforms.
  • Monitor and support NAV validation and pricing for client portfolios, ensuring integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with advisors and relationship managers to resolve accounting discrepancies or client-specific queries.
  • Support financial and regulatory reporting related to client investments, including audit schedules and disclosures.

Business Analysis & Process Optimization:

  • Act as a liaison between operations, technology, and business teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Support initiatives related to automation of reconciliation, reporting, and client communication workflows.
  • Perform data validation and testing for enhancements in portfolio management and accounting systems.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, MIS, and control reports for senior management and advisory teams.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and operational risks through data analysis and recommend mitigations.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field; Understanding of US GAAP/IFRS/IAS - CA, CFA, or MBA is preferred.
  • 6–8 years of experience in investment operations, accounting, or business analysis within a wealth management or private banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio accounting and investment instruments used in HNI/UHNI portfolios.
  • Experience with portfolio and accounting platforms such as CAMS Wealthserv, Miles, Morningstar, or custom PMS/CRM tools.
  • Strong MS Excel skills; knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, client-first mindset.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior exposure to high-net-worth client portfolio servicing or family office environments.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting in the wealth management domain (SEBI/ RBI/ SEC/ MAS guidelines).
