Job description:

Investment Analyst-Sales professional on the sell-side plays a critical role in driving revenue for the firm by managing relationships with investors, promoting the firm's investment products, and providing strategic insights. This role requires a mix of sales acumen, financial market expertise, and the ability to deliver tailored solutions that meet the needs of sophisticated clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:

  2. Building and Maintaining Client Relationships: Managing and expanding relationships with clients.

  3. Understanding Client Needs: Gaining deep insights into the investment objectives, strategies, and constraints of clients to tailor products and services that meet their needs.

  4. Investment Product Sales:

  5. Selling Investment Products: Leading the sale of a range of financial products, including startup investments, structured products, or alternative investments.

  6. Pitching Investment Ideas: Presenting new investment ideas, market themes, and opportunities to clients, often backed by the firm's research teams.

  7. Client Communication and Engagement:

  8. Organizing Client Meetings: Arranging regular meetings, conference calls, and presentations with clients to discuss portfolio updates, market developments, and new investment opportunities.

  9. Investment Conferences: Attending industry conferences and events to network with clients, understand new trends, and promote the firm's products.

  10. Investment Strategy Consulting:

  11. Advising on Portfolio Construction: Advising clients on asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk management strategies based on their objectives and the current market environment.

  12. Revenue Generation and Growth:

  13. Driving Sales Revenue: Setting and achieving revenue targets for selling the firm's investment products. The lead investments sales professional is often evaluated based on their contribution to the firm's bottom line.

6.Monitoring Market Trends:

  • Staying Informed: Keeping up with global and regional market trends, macroeconomic developments, and new investment products to better advise clients and position the firm's offerings.

  • New Business Development:

  • Sourcing New Clients: Identifying and targeting new institutional clients or expanding the firm's footprint in specific sectors or geographies. This includes networking, attending industry events, and leveraging personal and professional contacts.

  • Onboarding New Clients: Managing the onboarding process for new clients, including establishing new accounts, setting up reporting processes, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field is typically required. An MBA or other advanced degree may be preferred.
  • Proven knowledge in investment banking, venture capital, corporate finance, or related financial services roles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • MBA Finance 1 to 2 years experience (fintech industry).
