Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for food, excellent leadership skills, and a strong background in kitchen operations. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Chef will play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences and maintaining the smooth functioning of our restaurant or hospitality establishment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service
  • Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Oversee food safety practices, including hygiene, storage, and handling procedures
  • Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations
  • Develop new menu items in collaboration with management while maintaining consistency with existing offerings
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with industry standards
  • Assist in serving customers when necessary, providing excellent hospitality
