Role & responsibilities

A Territory Sales Manager for building materials is responsible for achieving sales targets in a specific geographic area by managing distributor and retailer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and coordinating with customers and internal teams. This role involves developing and executing sales plans, analyzing market trends, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective sales strategies and support. Key duties include meeting sales goals, building client relationships, promoting new products, and providing feedback to management on market conditions and sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Sales and revenue generation: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Territory management: Develop and implement sales plans to increase market share and maximize sales in the territory.
  • Relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors, retailers, and clients.
  • Business development: Identify and secure new business opportunities, and add new dealers to expand market reach.
  • Product promotion: Effectively introduce and promote new and existing building materials to the market.
  • Customer support: Act as a point of contact for customers, addressing their needs, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Market analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
  • Reporting and feedback: Compile and analyze sales figures, prepare reports, and provide regular updates and feedback to management.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with other departments like marketing, production, and logistics to ensure smooth operations and customer experience.
  • Contract negotiation: Negotiate contracts and close deals to secure new and ongoing business.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the building materials industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is often preferred.

Preferred candidate profile : Fluent in English and Tamil Language

To handle the sales team members and achieve the sales target of the Area every month strong in building material sales.

Work Location : Krishnagiri in Tamil Nadu.
