About the Role

PowerNest is expanding its client-acquisition team and seeking an experienced Business Development Representative / Lead Generator with a background in staffing, recruiting, contractual hiring and payroll vendor management.

You will identify and develop new business opportunities with startups, SMEs and enterprises across India and selected international markets.

This role begins as a contract/consultant engagement with incentive-based pay and clear performance targets. High performers can transition to a salaried + incentive model and gain access to additional tools and resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new client opportunities for:
  • Permanent staffing and recruiting
  • Contract / temporary hiring
  • Payroll outsourcing/vendor management
  • Recruitment process outsourcing (RPO)
  • Proactively contact HR heads, founders and hiring managers to secure staffing requirements (mid- to senior-level positions).
  • Use your professional network, LinkedIn, referrals, cold calls and email campaigns to develop a healthy client pipeline.
  • Build strong B2B relationships and develop long-term partnerships.
  • Track and report all lead-generation activities using our CRM/ATS tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in lead generation for staffing, recruiting, contractual hiring or payroll vendors.
  • Ability to develop leads independently using your own network, research and outreach skills.
  • Understanding of staffing industry sales cycles (permanent, contractual and payroll management).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and networking skills (English fluency mandatory).
  • Experience interacting with CXOs, HR Heads and senior decision-makers.
  • Tech-savvy: comfortable with ATS/CRM, LinkedIn and other digital tools (personal laptop/PC required).
  • MBA in Marketing/HR preferred but not mandatory.
