We're seeking an experienced and influential Senior Commodity Manager to lead our EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) sourcing efforts. This critical role requires a strong, strategic thinker who can effectively communicate and negotiate at the leadership level of EMS companies. If you're a seasoned professional with excellent negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the EMS industry, and the ability to build strong relationships with senior-level executives, we'd love to hear from you

Role & responsibilities

  • Develop and manage EMS vendors for Bloom Energy's electronic commodity, including price management, T2 Off the Shelf parts vendor management, and supplier performance.

  • Own sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management function, performing market analysis and forecasting industry trends.

  • Define cost structures and develop should-cost models to drive cost savings.

  • Support product development roadmap, incorporating design changes and implementation to current and future product lines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, understand, and prioritize business needs.

  • Communicate and negotiate with senior-level executives at EMS companies to drive strategic partnerships and achieve business objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on EMS.

  • should have experience in managing a team

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.

  • 3-4 years of experience in program management role in EMS is preferred.

  • Technical knowledge of EMS processes like PCBA, Box build, etc. is preferred.

  • Strong negotiation skills, with ability to problem-solve and influence others through relationships and data.

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate at the leadership level of EMS companies.
