Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Distribution Network Manager to lead the development and optimization of our smartwatch distribution network. This role is critical in expanding our market presence, establishing reliable distribution channels, and ensuring consistent product availability across all target regions. The ideal candidate will have experience in consumer electronics or wearable technology, with a strong understanding of distribution models, retail ecosystems, and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Distribution Strategy:
- Design and execute the distribution network plan for the smartwatch category in alignment with company goals and sales targets.
- Channel Partner Identification & Onboarding:
- Identify potential distributors, retailers, and e-commerce partners. Negotiate contracts, terms, and support onboarding processes.
- Territory Planning & Coverage Optimization:
- Map and optimize regional and national coverage to ensure product availability and visibility.
- Sales Forecasting & Inventory Planning:
- Work with supply chain and sales teams to align demand planning and ensure healthy inventory levels across all channels.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, ensuring alignment on performance expectations, marketing, and support.
- Performance Monitoring & KPIs:
- Track distributor performance, sell-in/sell-out metrics, and market share. Use data insights to improve channel efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product, logistics, and finance teams to align product launches, campaigns, and pricing strategies with channel capabilities.
- Compliance & Brand Standards:
- Ensure distributors adhere to brand guidelines, pricing policies, and legal compliance in all markets.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience in distribution/channel development, preferably in consumer electronics or wearables.
- Strong understanding of smartwatch or IoT market dynamics.
- Proven track record of building and scaling distribution networks.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with retail, e-commerce, and omni-channel models.
- Ability to travel as needed to manage partner relationships and evaluate channel performance.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with large electronics retailers, online marketplaces, and regional distributors.
- Exposure to international markets and multi-region distribution management.
- Data-driven decision-making and hands-on experience with CRM and ERP tools.
