Role Overview:

We are looking for a Territory Sales Manager to own SMB/MSME accounts and drive sales of engineering software (CAE & Multiphysics simulation) including Ansys Mechanical, Fluent, HFSS, Discovery, OptiSlang. Youll focus on new logo acquisition, account expansion, and predictable revenue while working closely with Application Engineers.

What Youll Do:

  • Territory & Pipeline: Build and execute a territory plan; generate leads through events, outbound, and partners; maintain 3–4 pipeline coverage.
  • Sales Cycle: Handle full cycle—discovery, technical evaluation, proposal, negotiation, and closure for new licenses, renewals, and expansions.
  • Value Selling: Map customer needs to simulation outcomes (cost reduction, faster time-to-market, fewer prototypes).
  • Account Growth: Land-and-expand within accounts; cross-sell software, training, and services.
  • CRM & Forecasting: Maintain accurate CRM updates and forecasts.
  • Market Insights: Track competitors and share insights with marketing/product teams.
  • Collaboration: Work with Ansys channel, marketing, and Customer Success teams for smooth onboarding.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3–5 years of B2B engineering software sales (CAE/CAD/PLM/simulation) with proven quota achievement.
  • Understanding of at least one simulation domain (FEA/CFD/EMI-EMC/Optics).
  • Strong sales skills: discovery, qualification, objection handling, proposal, and negotiation.
  • CRM discipline (Salesforce/Zoho or similar) and forecasting accuracy.
  • Willingness to travel within Mumbai/MMR and nearby industrial clusters.
  • Engineering or Business degree preferred.

Nice to Have: Experience in automotive, electronics, machinery, aerospace/defence suppliers, or Ansys channel ecosystem.
