Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – Global Business Development is responsible for driving international market growth, identifying new business opportunities, nurturing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's global footprint. This role requires strong analytical abilities, cross-cultural communication skills, and hands-on experience in leading a team to achieve sales and business development targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new international markets and customer segments.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and feasibility assessments.
  • Develop market entry strategies and go-to-market plans for targeted regions.
  • Generate leads, manage client pipelines, and convert opportunities into revenue.
  • Develop and present proposals, pricing, and commercial terms to global clients.
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales targets across designated foreign markets.
  • Build and manage long-term relationships with distributors, channel partners, and strategic accounts.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Executives/Associates.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor performance metrics, and provide regular coaching.
  • Drive the team to meet KPIs, targets, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations teams to support global initiatives.
  • Develop sales forecasts, performance dashboards, and business reviews.
  • Provide management with regular updates on market trends, competitor movements, and growth opportunities.
  • Participate in international travel for client meetings, trade shows, and partner engagements as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, International Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or International Markets.
  • At least 2 years of proven team leadership/people management experience.
  • Experience working with global customers, distributors, or partners.
  • Strong understanding of global trade, export processes, and cross-border business practices (preferred).
