Key Responsibilities:

  • To contest litigations for protecting the interest of the company
  • To assist in acquisition of the land, conducting title searches
  • Drafting of MOU, LOI, term sheet etc
  • Oversee all legal matters, contracts, compliance, and litigation.
  • Develop and implement the organizations legal strategy to align with business objectives and risk management practices.
  • Provide expert legal advice to the business development team and various departments on complex legal issues and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor the legal team, fostering a culture of professionalism and collaboration.
  • Negotiate, draft, and review contracts and agreements to ensure compliance and protect the organizations interests.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal risks associated with business operations.
  • Manage external legal counsel and consultants to ensure effective representation and cost-effective legal services.
  • Lead the organization's efforts in mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions, providing legal guidance and conducting due diligence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B); a Master's degree or additional legal certifications (e.g., LLM, bar admission) is preferred.
  • 14+ years of experience in a corporate legal role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance, contracts, and litigation.
  • Proven experience in managing legal risks and providing practical legal advice to support business objectives.
