Role & responsibilities

Tendering, Contracts & Advisory - Vetting & advisory on tenders and bidding documents including request for proposals issued for various infrastructure projects by Govt. bodies & private companies. Drafting and vetting of various contracts and agreements such as joint venture, Non disclosure & Settlement agreements. Preparing detailed notes for internal use for clients on extant as well as potential legal and contractual issues Drafting and vetting of power of attorneys and correspondence to be sent to government and non-government clients regarding disputes, show cause notices, contractual misinterpretation, legal notice etc.

Litigation - Drafting of Various applications, Petitions, Statutory notices, claims, counter claims, rejoinders, written statements, evidence affidavits, reply to legal notices, criminal complaints, RTI application etc. Representing the company in various types of contractual matters and civil matters including but not limited to summary suits, writ petitions, insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings and others matters pertaining to recovery of dues across various courts of law and tribunals.

Corporate Law - Research oriented analysis on laws applicable to the Company and keeping abreast with any amendments thereof. Company Secretarial compliance including but not limited to board meetings, amendments to articles of association and memorandum of association. Drafting joint venture agreements and other corporate documents.

Compliance - Training projects managers and other projects participants on various applicable laws, compliance and contractual issues.

Insurance - Managing the insurance program for Assystem in India, pertaining to the business related insurances including but not limited to professional indemnity, general liability, Handling claims arising out of these insurances.

Qualification:

  • Bachelors Degree in Law (LL.B) from a reputed university or college.

Experience Required : -

  • Previous qualified exp. of 5-7 years and experience at a reputed law firm is preferred.

- Experience in the Infrastructure Sector.

- Candidate should have Experience from Energy/ Renewable Energy/ Power Sector

  • Preference for Gurgaon based candidates and early joiners.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage a varied and fast moving workload. Team player/ adaptable to both integrate with the operational team and to interact with other in house lawyers in the company and Assystem Group`s Legal Team.
