Job Summary:
The Head Chef will lead and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary experiences in line with the five-star standards of the hotel. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, menu planning, quality control, food cost management, team training, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, and develop innovative menus that reflect the hotel's brand, seasonal ingredients, and customer preferences.
- Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and consistency across all outlets.
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff including sous chefs, line cooks, and stewards; ensure proper scheduling, staffing, and training.
- Manage food cost budgets, monitor wastage, and ensure optimal inventory and portion control.
- Collaborate with F&B Managers and Event Coordinators for banquets, weddings, and high-end events.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation standards as per HACCP and local health regulations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to staff for development and retention.
- Stay current with food trends, techniques, and competition to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure equipment maintenance and kitchen safety protocols are followed.
- Handle customer feedback regarding food quality and make necessary improvements.
