Facilitating Technical Closure For Sales Pipeline Leads
The primary duty is to ensure that the technical aspects of the sales process are successfully addressed, leading to the closure of sales deals. This involves:

  • Conducting product demonstrations to showcase features like API discovery, security testing, and observability, ensuring customers understand the value proposition.
  • Responding to technical queries and objections, such as integration challenges or performance concerns, to build trust.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to tailor solutions to customer needs, ensuring technical alignment with their infrastructure and goals.
  • Providing detailed technical proposals with clear scope of work.

Providing Complete Support During POV, Including Installation Assistance
During POV engagements, Presales Engineer offers comprehensive support to demonstrate the product's effectiveness. This includes:

  • Setting up and managing the POV environment, which may involve deploying the product using containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, as supported by Levo's installation guide (Install Guide | Documentation).
  • Assisting with installations for prospects, ensuring the product is configured correctly in their environment, such as using a single Helm Chart for Kubernetes or a Docker command for other setups, as mentioned in Levo's documentation (Frictionless API Observability).
  • Troubleshooting technical issues during the POV, providing hands-on support to ensure a smooth evaluation process.
  • Aligning the POV with the prospect's success criteria, demonstrating how the product addresses their specific needs, such as reducing API security risks or improving DevOps workflows.

This hands-on support is vital for proving the product's value, especially in technical domains like API security, where customers need to see real-world applicability.

Technological Expertise Required
Should have the expertise & knowledge about
Docker, Kubernetes, and other technologies
, the Technical Presales Engineer must possess expertise in modern DevOps and cloud environments. Research into Levo's documentation and product offerings reveals the following technological requirements:

  • Docker and Kubernetes: Levo's installation guide specifies support for Kubernetes (via Helm Charts) and Docker, indicating that the consultant must be proficient in these tools for deploying and demonstrating the product (Install Guide | Documentation). This is crucial for setting up POCs in customer environments, especially for containerized applications.
  • Cloud Platforms: Integration with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is implied, given Levo's focus on API security and its mention in industry contexts. Presales Engineer needs familiarity with these platforms to align with customer infrastructures.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required, providing a foundation in technical and security concepts.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a technical presales, solutions engineering, or similar customer-facing role, preferably in the cybersecurity or API management space, ensuring familiarity with customer interaction and technical sales dynamics.

Providing implementation support for Post Sales / Existing accounts (Customer Success / Support)

  • Support newly closed accounts with implementation support
  • Provide support to existing customers / accounts with implementation support as needed

  • Experience with eBPF or other advanced observability technologies, given Levo's use of eBPF for API discovery.
  • Certifications in cybersecurity or cloud platforms, validating expertise in relevant areas.
