Dhruva Space is looking for a Sales Engineer who will focus on supporting the Sales Team in the preparation of the proposals and requires liaising effectively across all technical teams, including the various external experts and industrial partners.

The main responsibilities are two-fold:

  • Effectively lead the preparation of technical sales proposals by understanding the customer requirements and liaising with the internal teams or temporary working groups set up for the specific proposals.
  • To provide the Sales team with the technical expertise in support of the Pre-Sales activities and, once a proposal is being prepared, for the full integration of the technical aspects of the proposal.

Processes and activities to be managed and overseen are primarily, but not limited to, the following:

  • Support the preparation of all aspects of complex technical proposals, in close coordination with the Technical, Engineering, Procurement & Sales teams, ensuring that the various inputs are consistent and are driven by the system perspective
  • Support the Sales team in the evaluation and negotiation of complex technical requirements of the customers
  • Support technical analysis and solutions of all ongoing projects and new developments
  • In general, the Sales Engineer is required to support the development of technical offers, technical notes, plans, and other documentation as required.

Candidate requirements:

  • Must hold a degree in Space Engineering / Telecommunications / Electronics or similar with at least 3 years of work experience in the Aerospace, Defense & Space sector; alternatively, 5+ years of related work experience in Sales Engineering roles
  • Must have knowledge of Systems Engineering, preference if developed in the space industry and in international environments/projects
  • Must have proven working experience in the Space industry, satellite manufacturing, or on related projects
  • Must possess experience and background in Mission Design and related services
  • Must have experience, background, and a strong interest in commercial aspects of complex technical projects
  • Must have knowledge and experience in security and related processes

  • Fast decision-making skills, in case of service-impacting problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal liaison and communication skills with a strong attitude to teamwork
  • Hands-on mentality and systematic, self-organized, able to prioritize a way of working
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Fluency in standard office automation tools (MS Office, Email, Internet, etc.)
