Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and well-connected Business Development Manager to lead our growth strategy by building relationships with interior designers, architects, and design studios. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge, a strong existing network, and a passion for high-quality textiles and rugs. This role will focus on positioning our brand as the preferred choice for design professionals working on residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
Key Responsibilities:1. Relationship Building & Client Acquisition
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with interior designers, decorators, architects, and procurement firms.
- Identify new business opportunities through industry networking, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Host presentations, lunch-and-learns, and showroom visits for design professionals to showcase our product offerings.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Drive sales of rugs and textile products through the A&D (architecture & design) community.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets by generating consistent and qualified leads.
- Follow up on quotes, negotiate pricing, and close deals with interior design clients and studios.
3. Market Research & Strategy
- Stay up to date with design trends, competitor activity, and market movements in the textile and interiors industry.
- Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams to refine collections and campaigns based on market needs.
- Identify new product opportunities based on designer feedback and project requirements.
4. Brand Promotion & Events
- Represent the company at trade shows, design expos, and industry networking events (e.g., Maison & Objet, ICFF, High Point, etc.).
- Collaborate with marketing to co-host events or sponsor design panels, studio open houses, or product launches.
- Develop case studies and portfolio content from completed designer projects featuring our rugs/textiles.
