Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Tandoor Commis I to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with traditional tandoor cooking, including breads, kebabs, and curries, while maintaining high standards of hygiene, taste, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook tandoor dishes including kebabs, rotis, naans, kulchas, and Indian breads.
  • Assist senior chefs in daily food preparation and service.
  • Maintain quality, consistency, and portion control as per standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen.
  • Monitor mise-en-place and ensure timely availability of ingredients.
  • Follow recipes, SOPs, and food safety regulations (FSSAI compliance).
  • Support the kitchen team during peak hours and banquets.
  • Assist in stock rotation and minimize food wastage.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as Commis I/II in Tandoor section (hotel or restaurant).
  • Knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, and tandoor operations.
  • Strong sense of taste, seasoning, and plating.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge (FSSAI certification preferred).
