Position Overview

The Senior Technician plays a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automobiles to ensure safety, performance, and customer satisfaction. This role involves handling complex repair tasks, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring adherence to company and industry standards. The Senior Technician is expected to deliver high-quality technical service while supporting efficiency and productivity in the workshop.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of vehicles, including mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

  • Carry out routine maintenance and periodic services as per manufacturer guidelines.

  • Inspect vehicles and identify faults with accuracy, preparing detailed service/repair reports.

  • Ensure proper usage of diagnostic tools, equipment, and specialized machinery.

  • Supervise and guide junior technicians, providing training and support when required.

  • Maintain workshop discipline, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.

  • Ensure timely completion of repair/maintenance tasks to meet customer delivery schedules.

  • Coordinate with Service Advisors for clear communication on repair progress and cost estimation.

  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, service procedures, and repair techniques.

  • Uphold company reputation by maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications

  • ITI / Diploma in Automobile Engineering or equivalent certification.

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as an Automobile Technician (hands-on repair experience mandatory).

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, A/C systems).

  • Strong technical knowledge in handling modern automobiles.

  • Ability to use computer-based diagnostic tools and testing equipment.

  • Team leadership and mentoring skills.
