MEP CAD Technician

The MEP CAD Technician plays a vital role in the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) services. This position requires strong technical skills and attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate and up-to-date.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems using AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Collaborate with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Evaluate drawings against project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Support project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings by maintaining drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, while proficiency in Revit MEP/BIM is preferred.
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design are crucial.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice is necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required for this role.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential for success.
