Position: Tech Lead – Python & Azure

Location: Pune (Hybrid/Remote)

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead – Python & Azure to lead backend engineering efforts and guide a high-performing team in building scalable, secure, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Python development expertise with leadership capabilities, ensuring delivery of enterprise-grade solutions on Azure Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of backend solutions using Python and Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, AKS).
  • Own technical architecture decisions and ensure systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with best practices.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, conducting regular code reviews and fostering a culture of quality and collaboration.
  • Drive integration with Azure data services including Cosmos DB, SQL Database, and Blob Storage.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and enforce DevSecOps practices.
  • Define and implement logging, telemetry, and monitoring strategies using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
  • Partner with stakeholders, product managers, and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, ensure timely resolutions, and manage technical risks.
  • Contribute to documentation of technical designs, workflows, and standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in Python backend development with deep knowledge of cloud-native patterns.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, AKS, Cosmos DB, SQL Database, Blob Storage.
  • Solid understanding of security practices including Key Vault, RBAC, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams in Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization in Azure.
  • Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
