Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Sales Executive

Purpose:

To outline the responsibilities, expectations, and guidelines for Sales Executives to ensure effective sales processes, customer relationship management, and adherence to company policies.

Scope:

This SOP applies to all Sales Executives engaged in sales activities, including lead generation, customer interactions, sales negotiations, and order closure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Executive:

  2. Generate leads and prospects through various channels.

  3. Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

  4. Negotiate sales agreements and close deals.

  5. Meet or exceed sales targets.

  6. Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. Mis-selling:

  2. Mis-selling or misrepresenting products/services to customers is strictly prohibited and may lead to legal action.

  3. Multitasking:

  4. Engaging in multitasking activities that compromise sales performance or customer interactions is not allowed and may lead to legal action.

  5. Carrying Company Items:

  6. Carrying company items (e.g., documents, equipment) without proper authorization or concern may lead to legal action.

  7. Absconding:

  8. Absconding or abandoning duties without notice or justification may result in no claim for compensation or benefits.

  9. Personal Use of Company Payments:

  10. Using company payments or funds for personal purposes is strictly prohibited and may lead to disciplinary action.

  11. Recovery from Customers:

  12. Sales Executives are responsible for recovering payments from customers and ensuring timely payment to the company.

Procedures:

  1. Lead Generation:

  2. Identify potential customers through research, referrals, and marketing campaigns.

  3. Qualify leads based on criteria such as budget, need, and decision-making authority.

  4. Customer Interactions:

  5. Engage with customers through phone calls, meetings, and emails.

  6. Understand customer needs and provide solutions.

  7. Present products or services that meet customer requirements.

  8. Sales Negotiations:

  9. Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions.

  10. Address customer concerns and objections.

  11. Close deals and finalize sales agreements.
