Finance & Strategy Head (Contract Role) | Pikolo Events

We're building
Pikolo
, India's most intelligent
B2C event planning and booking platform
— where users can discover, compare, and book trusted vendors for weddings and events.

We're looking for a
Finance & Strategy Head (Contract Basis)
who can refine and expand our
existing financial model
— aligning it with updated inputs from the
Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams
to create a solid, investor-ready financial roadmap.

What You'll Do (Pre-Funding Phase)

  • Edit and upgrade the current financial model
    to align with our latest business strategy and real market insights.
  • Collaborate with the
    Marketing and Sales Heads
    to finalize
    department-wise budgets
    , defining how much to spend on ads, salaries, and content creation.
  • Create a
    departmental term sheet
    covering spending limits, ROI expectations, and fund utilization timelines.
  • Model
    cash flow, burn rate, and runway
    for the next 18 months — showing how ₹2–3 crore funding will be spent and sustained.
  • Prepare
    EBITDA, profitability, and projected revenue
    charts aligned with growth and category expansion.
  • Develop a
    clear funding utilization plan
    showing how Pikolo can start generating revenue from day one while gradually reducing burn over six months.
  • Deliver a polished,
    investor-ready financial blueprint
    connecting numbers with business outcomes.

What You'll Do (Post-Funding Phase)

  • Take charge of
    financial control, budgeting, and fund allocation
    across departments.
  • Track and report
    monthly actuals vs projections
    , adjusting strategy as needed.
  • Manage
    P&L, cash flow, and financial performance dashboards.
  • Work with founders to prepare
    investor updates, growth reports, and new funding rounds.
  • Help all departments maintain
    capital efficiency and improve EBITDA margins.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–7 years of experience
    in finance, FP&A, or startup strategic planning.
  • Strong knowledge of
    financial modeling, budgeting, and burn management.
  • Skilled in
    Excel/Google Sheets
    and capable of translating data into clear strategy.
  • Experience in
    cross-departmental financial planning
    (especially with marketing and sales).
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and confident in creating
    investor-level documents.
  • Prior experience working on
    funding models or startup projections
    is a strong plus.
