Role & responsibilities

HR Supervisor Roles and Responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Staffing

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment process (job posting, screening, interviewing, onboarding).
  • Coordinate with department heads to identify manpower requirements.
  • Ensure timely hiring and smooth induction of new employees.

2. Employee Relations

  • Act as a point of contact between management and employees.
  • Address employee grievances and resolve workplace issues fairly.
  • Promote a positive and productive work environment.

3. Attendance & Payroll Management

  • Monitor attendance, leave, and shift records.
  • Support payroll preparation and verify data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.

4. Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labour laws (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, etc.).
  • Assist in audits and statutory inspections.
  • Update HR policies and ensure all employees are aware of them.

5. HR Operations & Administration

  • Supervise daily HR operations (joining formalities, exit process, ID cards, etc.).
  • Manage employee engagement activities and communication.

  • Prepare regular HR reports for management.

  • Vendor Management (Key Focus Area)

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard HR-related vendors (manpower suppliers, housekeeping, canteen, security, transport, etc.).

  • Verify invoices, attendance, and billing accuracy before forwarding for payment.
  • Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and audits.
  • Ensure vendor staff adhere to site safety, compliance, and code of conduct requirements.
  • Maintain strong coordination between internal departments and vendors for smooth operations.
