Position Overview: National Key Account Manager (Modern Trade)

  • Location: Mumbai
  • Reports To:

  • Functional: Lead MT

  • Administrative: Head MT

  • Compensation: Negotiable

  • Education: MBA preferred (Tier 1 institutes ideal)
  • Experience: 5 years + in FMCG, MT channel sales, in PAN India key account management.

Role Purpose:

To lead and grow the presence across national e-commerce and modern trade platforms by driving strategic partnerships, optimizing digital execution, and delivering revenue and brand performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial

  • Achieve revenue and cost-to-serve targets for MT channels
  • Develop platform-specific promotional and sales strategies
  • Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities within MT

Customer

  • Manage national-level MT accounts (DMART mandatory) and online retail platforms
  • Enhance product visibility, pricing, and content for higher conversions
  • Ensure consistent brand execution and superior customer experience

Process

  • Monitor KPIs, ROI, and campaign performance
  • Leverage analytics to refine strategies and understand consumer behavior
  • Conduct post-campaign evaluations and share insights with stakeholders

People

  • Coordinate with the supply chain for stock and delivery efficiency
  • Partner with finance for account hygiene and reconciliations
  • Collaborate with digital marketing for SEO and engagement campaigns

  • Channel-specific execution for launches, merchandising, and campaigns
  • Market intelligence and competitor benchmarking
  • Team leadership and performance coaching
