Job Title: Asst Manager - Design Coordination

Location: Bangalore, India

Reports To: Project Design Manager

Job Summary-

We are seeking a Project Design Coordinator to support the development of execution-ready

architectural drawings by coordinating between outsourced design consultants and the in-house

design team. This role requires strong knowledge of Bangalores building bylaws, proficiency in

architectural detailing, and the ability to streamline design workflows for smooth execution

on-site.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Design Coordination & Support

  • Assist in liaising between external consultants (architects, MEP, structural) and internal

teams to ensure design alignment.

  • Review and coordinate outsourced designs (architectural, structural, landscape,

interiors) for compliance with project requirements.

  • Identify and escalate design inconsistencies to the Project Design Manager for

resolution.

2. In-House Design Development

  • Support the development of detailed architectural/technical drawings (GFCs, working

drawings) based on consultant-provided concept designs.

  • Ensure drawings are compliant with building codes and optimized for site execution.
  • Work with consultants to clarify design intent and address technical queries.

3. Deliverable & Schedule Tracking

  • Assist in tracking design deliverables (concept drawings, GFCs, approval documents)

and ensure timely submissions.

  • Maintain project documentation, including design iterations and approval records.

4. Regulatory Compliance & Approvals

  • Support the approval process by preparing required documentation and coordinating

with regulatory authorities (BBMP, BDA, Fire Services).

  • Stay updated on Bangalores zoning and building norms, providing input to ensure

compliance.

5. Stakeholder Communication

  • Provide updates to the Project Design Manager on design progress, approvals, and risks.
  • Facilitate coordination between consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

6. Risk Identification & Documentation

  • Identify potential design discrepancies and work with the team to address them.
  • Maintain documentation for audits, legal requirements, and design revisions.

Preferred candidate profile -

  • Bachelors degree in Architecture (B.Arch mandatory).
  • 45 years of experience in real estate/construction, with hands-on exposure to

architectural detailing and design execution.

  • Experience in developing GFCs and working drawings from concept designs.
  • Familiarity with Bangalores building approval processes (BDA, BBMP, KSPCB).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and BIM tools.

Key Skills

  • Strong understanding of architectural detailing and execution drawings.
  • Good coordination and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of building codes, bylaws, and approval processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple design deliverables and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in English; Kannada is a plus.
  • Mandatory Skills; Autocad, Sketchup.
  • Additional: Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam.
