The ideal candidate has a strong passion for culinary excellence and a keen eye for detail. You will assist the Executive Chef in providing exceptional food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensuring food quality, presentation, and consistency.
- Supervise and coordinate the kitchen team during food preparation and service.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Train, mentor, and monitor junior kitchen staff.
- Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for kitchen supplies.
- Innovate and contribute to menu planning and recipe development.
- Maintain equipment and manage kitchen cleanliness and organization.
- Step in for the Head Chef when required and handle kitchen operations smoothly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety regulations, and inventory management.
- Creative mindset with a passion for food innovation and presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure during busy shifts.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
