CarbonCut is a pivotal sustainability initiative by Optiminastic. This project focuses on reducing the environmental impact of marketing and advertising activities. CarbonCut provides businesses with the tools to accurately calculate and offset the carbon emissions generated by overall marketing activities. By integrating sustainability into the heart of marketing efforts, CarbonCut helps businesses reduce their carbon footprints, enabling them to become more eco-friendly while delivering their messages to consumers.

About the Role:

Build and manage strategic partnerships that strengthen CarbonCut's mission of driving net-zero advertising. Work closely with brands, agencies, and sustainability partners to create impactful collaborations and long-term value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, approach, and onboard new partners across marketing and sustainability ecosystems.
  • Manage and nurture existing partnerships to ensure mutual growth and alignment.
  • Support co-branded initiatives, events, and campaigns with external partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, ESG) to deliver partner-driven solutions.
  • Track partnership performance, prepare reports, and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in sustainability, MarTech, and climate innovation.

Key Responsibilities (Registry):

  • Assist with project registration and listing workflows across carbon/impact registries (e.g., preparing forms, compiling evidence, tracking submissions).
  • Validate project documentation (methodologies, MRV plans, legal docs) for completeness and version control; flag gaps and inconsistencies.
  • Maintain a clean audit trail: organize files, naming conventions, and metadata; keep SOPs up to date.
  • Support issuance/retirement processes: reconcile serial numbers, generate draft attestations, and update internal ledgers.
  • Monitor registry updates (rules, methodologies, fee changes) and summarize implications for the team.
  • Build simple trackers/dashboards (Sheets/Excel) for project status, timelines, and compliance checkpoints.

Key Responsibilities (Supply):

  • Source and pre-screen potential suppliers/projects against our sustainability criteria and due-diligence checklist.
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding (NDA, KYC, data templates), and maintain accurate records in CRM/pipeline trackers.
  • Collect and QA supply data (volumes, vintages, co-benefits, certifications); highlight risks or data quality issues.
  • Support commercial readiness: compile supplier one-pagers, fact sheets, and FAQs for internal use.
  • Schedule and document supplier calls; capture action items and follow-ups across stakeholders (NGOs, developers, internal teams).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement: propose process tweaks to reduce cycle time or error rates.

Must-Haves:

  • Relationship-driven with strong interpersonal and clear written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple stakeholders (e.g., NGOs, corporate teams, community partners).
  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Studies/Science, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; able to influence without authority.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and effective in a fast-paced environment; solid project management discipline.

Good to Have:

  • Familiarity with partnership CRM tools and reporting dashboards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainability with experience building partnerships that advance environmental or social impact.
  • 0–1 year experience in partnerships, alliances, or client relations within sustainability/ESG or impact programs.
