Location: Bangalore, India
Territory: Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala
Industry: Medical Devices
Reporting Structure: Direct reports include Area Sales Managers / Territory Executives (one tier)
Key Responsibilities
Regional Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and manage the performance of the first-tier sales team.
- Drive sales and market penetration across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
Ensure alignment with national sales strategy and compliance standards.
Sales & Business Development:
Achieve regional revenue targets through strategic planning and execution.
- Identify new business opportunities, key accounts, and channel partners.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform tactical decisions.
Team Management & Development:
Conduct regular performance reviews and field visits.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of regional sales personnel.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Customer Engagement & Support:
Build strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and post-sales support.
Address escalations and ensure timely resolution of service issues.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee inventory, logistics, and distributor coordination within the region.
- Ensure timely reporting of sales data, forecasts, and market intelligence.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Business; MBA preferred
- 10–15 years of experience in medical device or Equipment sales
- Proven track record in regional leadership and team management
- Strong understanding of the market dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel extensively across the region
