Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketplaces to lead our marketplace strategy across key platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing partnerships, driving sales performance, ensuring operational excellence, and growing our presence across national and international marketplaces.

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and lead the marketplace strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Identify new marketplace opportunities (domestic and global) and develop entry and growth plans.
  • Manage annual planning, P&L ownership, budgeting, and forecasting for marketplace channels.

Channel & Partner Management

  • Build strong relationships with key marketplace partners (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Walmart, Noon, etc.).
  • Negotiate terms and commercials with marketplaces, optimizing margins and exposure.
  • Ensure compliance with marketplace guidelines and service level agreements (SLAs).

Sales & Performance Optimization

  • Drive top-line revenue growth through data-driven strategies, promotions, pricing, and catalog expansion.
  • Track daily/weekly/monthly performance KPIs: sales, conversion, traffic, returns, etc.
  • Optimize product listings, SEO/keywords, A+ content, and reviews to increase visibility and sales.

Operations & Execution

  • Oversee fulfillment models (FBA, FBM, etc.) and ensure high levels of product availability and order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and inventory teams for stock planning and replenishment.
  • Minimize return rates and improve customer satisfaction metrics.

Team Management

  • Lead and mentor a team of category managers, account managers, and analysts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technology, finance, logistics, and customer service teams.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Use analytics to derive insights and make informed business decisions.
  • Provide regular performance reports, growth plans, and action plans to leadership.
