
Junior Sous Chef

A junior sous chef's responsibilities include:
- **Food preparation**: Assisting with food preparation and working with the head chef and sous chef
- **Menu planning**: Helping with menu planning, development, and implementation
- **Kitchen supervision**: Overseeing and supervising kitchen staff
- **Maintaining standards**: Ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and serves high-quality food
- **Cleaning**: Ensuring the kitchen and equipment are clean and meet health and safety standards
- **Inventory**: Helping with inventory and supply management
- **Hiring and training**: Helping with hiring and training new cooks
- **Ordering**: Ordering food items
- **Sanitation**: Ensuring the kitchen is sanitized according to the latest standards
A junior sous chef will be second-in-command under the head chef and may run the kitchen when the Sous chef isn't available.
Requirements for a junior sous chef may include:
- **Education** Diploma or Degree, in relevant culinary arts certificate
- **Experience At** least two years of experience in a similar role, or experience in a Indian kitchen
- **Certifications** food certification form Fssai
- **Knowledge **A strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations, cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes
- **Skills **Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to use kitchen equipment, and the ability to work well with customers and other staff
**Job Type**: Permanent
Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month
