- This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely filing of all state and local sales and use tax returns. This includes researching and interpreting complex tax laws, regulations, and guidance to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements. The Sales & Use Tax Specialist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate sales and use tax records, conducting audits, and providing support to internal and external customers on sales and use tax matters._

- Responsibilities_
- _Prepare and file all state and local sales and use tax returns, including but not limited to:_
- _Monthly, quarterly, and annual returns_
- _Nexus filings_
- _Special use tax returns_
- _Voluntary disclosure agreements_
- _Research and interpret complex sales and use tax laws, regulations, and guidance from various jurisdictions._
- _Maintain accurate sales and use tax records, including sales and use tax exemption certificates, purchase orders, and invoices._
- _Conduct periodic audits of sales and use tax accounts to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations._
- _Respond to sales and use tax audits conducted by state and local tax authorities._
- _Provide support to internal and external customers on sales and use tax matters, including answering questions, resolving disputes, and providing training._
- _Stay current on all changes in sales and use tax laws and regulations._
- _Assist with special projects as needed._

- Qualifications we seek in you_
- Qualifications:_
- _Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred._
- _3+ years of experience in sales and use tax compliance._
- _Strong knowledge of state and local sales and use tax laws and regulations._
- _Experience with sales and use tax software and systems._
- _Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills._
- _Strong communication and interpersonal skills._
- _Detail-oriented and organized._
- _Ability to work independently and as part of a team._
