- The Vendor Funding Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing financial records and ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient inventory management. This role involves collaborating with various departments to maintain the integrity of financial data, perform credit evaluations, and support financial reporting processes._
- Responsibilities_
- 1. Approving Redemptions/promotions_
- o Approving redemptions based on agreed parameters ensure accuracy, timely and compliance with vendor agreements._
- o Adding issues to the shared file and work closed with stakeholders in resolving them on timely manner._
- o Handling the queries relating to redemptions/promotions from business and vendors._
- 2. Claims Processing_
- o Review and processing the claims received from various merchants using RPA._
- o Validating and revalidating the IP as and when required_
- o Winshuttle experience will be added an advantage as this team is sing the Winshuttles extensively for monthly and quarterly claims_
- 3. Inventory Accounting & Analysis_
- o Prepare/post Journals at the end of the month._
- o Experience in retail industry, good understanding of Flash Margin, Gross Margin, Moving average cost etc.,_
- o Inventory Accounting experience will be added an advantage_
- o Performing task with accuracy and timelines_
- o Balance Sheet reconciliations and clearing. Identify open items and take it up with relevant co-workers to get closure before month end to ensure no open items after the closing_
- 4. Record Management:_
- o Maintain and update financial records in the accounting system._
- o Reporting skills like daily, weekly and monthly reports to be submitted_
- o Perform regular audits of financial records to ensure data integrity._
- 5. Collaboration and Communication:_
- o Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address issues discrepancies and resolve issues._
- 6. Compliance and Control:_
- o Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements._
- o Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial controls and procedures._
- o Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations._
- 7. Process Improvement:_
- o Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in financial reporting and credit management._
- o Implement best practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency in record-to-report processes._
- Qualifications we seek in you_
- Minimum Qualifications_
- _Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field._
- _Proven experience as a Financial Analyst, or similar role, preferably within Inventory Accounting and R2R environment._
- _Strong understanding of financial principles, Inventory analysis, and accounting procedures._
- _Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, BW) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)._
- _Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills._
- _Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously._
- _Effective communication and interpersonal skills._
- _Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements._
- _3-5 years of experience in Record to Report, Inventory Accounting, financial analysis and Month End JE, BS Account Reconciliation_
- Preferred Qualifications/ Skills_
- _Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred._
- _Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and cash management software._
- _Experience with advanced data analysis and reporting tools._
- _Familiarity with industry-specific financial practices._
