- **The purpose of this job role to handle & drive the**:

- Contractor Safety Management
- Health and Wellbeing agenda
- Incident Trend Analysis
- Standardization of processes and audits
- Share best practices within as well bring in an outside in perspective
- Work with the Training team to automate trainings/learnings

**Key Accountability**:

- Monitoring current and potential health and safety hazards and associated risks in all the routine and non-routine operations
- Keeping up to date with legislative and industry developments and keeping the health and safety program up to date
- Monitoring and addressing compliance with all health and safety legislation
- Creating, circulating, and enforcing HSW Standards
- Participating in the investigation of workplace accidents and non-compliance
- Recommending and approving corrective actions after incidents or as a result of identified non-compliance
- Tracking incident metrics and identifying trends
- Offering general health, safety and wellbeing advice to all the employees
- Identifying appropriate health and safety training for different hierarchical levels and ensuring all employees have adequate training for the job at hand
- Delivering health and safety training and presentations, including new hire orientations
- Ensuring safety inspections and audits are completed at the prescribed intervals and that corrective actions are taken to correct identified deficiencies
- Identifying criteria for contractor selection and monitoring contractor compliance and management
- Support cluster to deliver the National HSW Objectives
- Knowledge sharing, identification of improvement areas, appreciation and internal sharing of good practices.

**Key Result Areas**:

- To ensure timely closure of all the identified HSW gaps
- To ensure trained, qualified and competent resources are being deployed for carrying out high risk activities
- Design, Develop and Deliver HSW Campaigns to create awareness

**Must have technical / professional qualifications**:

- Engineering or science graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Safety
