**URGENTLY REQUIRED STORE INCHARGE FOR MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY IN DELHI**

**Job Overview**:
The Store Incharge is responsible for overseeing the procurement, storage, inventory control, and distribution of yarn within the têxtile industry. This role ensures that yarn is available in the right quantities and quality for production, maintaining an organized system for tracking and managing yarn stocks, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth workflow in the têxtile production process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Yarn Procurement and Inventory Management**:

- Oversee the procurement of various types of yarn based on production requirements, including cotton, polyester, wool, and other specialized yarns.
- Ensure that yarn stocks are managed efficiently, balancing inventory levels to prevent both overstock and shortages.
- Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of yarn and manage vendor relationships.
- **Yarn Storage and Organization**:

- Ensure proper storage conditions for yarn (e.g., temperature, humidity control) to maintain quality and prevent damage or degradation.
- Organize yarn storage areas in a systematic manner to allow easy access, identification, and tracking of stock.
- Maintain accurate labels and records for yarn types, quantities, and batches stored.
- **Stock Control & Distribution**:

- Regularly monitor and manage yarn stock levels to ensure that production requirements are met without delays.
- Oversee the movement of yarn between the store, production departments, and quality control.
- Maintain and update inventory management systems with accurate stock information and transactions related to yarn.
- **Quality Control & Inspection**:

- Inspect incoming yarn deliveries to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with the quality control team to check for yarn defects, such as uneven thickness, color consistency, or damage during transport and storage.
- Handle returns or rejections of substandard yarn from suppliers.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records for yarn receipts, issues, transfers, and returns.
- Prepare and submit regular yarn inventory reports, usage statistics, and other required documents to management.
- Generate and monitor stock movement reports to identify trends, shortages, or excess stock.
- **Production Coordination**:

- Work closely with the production department to ensure the timely supply of the required yarn in the right quantities and quality.
- Monitor yarn consumption and report any deviations in usage to management or production teams.
- Assist in yarn allocation based on production schedules and specific job requirements.
- **Cost Control**:

- Assist in cost control by monitoring yarn usage and reducing wastage in storage and production.
- Help identify opportunities for optimizing yarn procurement and usage to reduce overall costs.
- **Team Supervision**:

- Supervise and train store assistants or other team members involved in yarn handling, storing, and inventory management.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines when handling yarn and other materials.
- Develop and implement best practices for yarn management to improve operational efficiency.
- **Health & Safety**:

- Ensure compliance with safety standards when handling yarn, including proper lifting, storage, and handling procedures.
- Enforce safe storage practices, particularly for flammable or hazardous yarn types (e.g., certain synthetic yarns or chemicals used in processing yarn).
- **Coordination with Other Departments**:

- Liaise with other departments such as production, quality control, and procurement to ensure smooth yarn supply and inventory management.
- Resolve any issues related to yarn shortages, quality concerns, or delivery delays in coordination with suppliers and internal teams.

**Key Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Education**: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, têxtile technology, or a related field is preferred.
- **Experience**: 2-4 years of experience in yarn management or storekeeping in the têxtile industry or a related manufacturing sector.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems, and basic Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail in managing stock records, ensuring quality, and identifying any discrepancies in yarn quality or quantity.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, production teams, and other departments.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure smooth yarn management operations.
- **Problem-Solving**: Capability to resolve inventory, quality, or supply issues in a timely and effective manner.
