**The Role**:
**Purpose**

The Pension Benefit Advisor role ensures appropriate Pension benefit governance/ operationalisation across the 10 Indian pension funds. This role leads the member communication process and is responsible for the content of policy communication materials. In addition, the role will provide support in pension benefit design (including policy execution and handling of complex cases/ disputes) as well across the compliance and regulatory matters relating to all existing pension Trust vehicles.

This role works closely together with the India Policy and Benefits Lead, Payroll, Tax, Legal, TSUs, and SMEs from group pension and group benefits etc.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Management of the Provident Fund Trusts, Gratuity Trusts and Superannuation Trusts as a secretary to Trustee Board for Shell in India
- Coordinate quarterly BOT meetings and setting of agenda items (pre reads and minutes)
- Update of trustees’ appointment and onboarding along with group pensions
- Collaborate with Group Pensions, Payroll & Finance to ensure strong governance structure is in place for appropriate management of retirement trusts
- Support periodic audits of Trust documents & proceedings in conjunction with relevant experts in the field i.e. Provident Fund (PF) inspections, statutory and internal audits, legal cases (if any)
- Support other trustee support unit members in the appointment of Investment advisory, 3rd party administrators, auditors for retiral trusts
- Lead close out pending RPFC EPS account issues and staff EPS transfer to Bangalore RPFC from historical era.
- Liaise with external fund administrators like LIC in ensuring our product offering is competent and up to the mark
- Execution of Superannuation cash out and NPS transfer
- Lead the roll out and maintenance of Corporate NPS program
- Responsible for member communications and handling staff queries
- Responsible for/ Support the wind down activities across applicable Trusts, including the health check processes and be the Shell focal point to resolve any queries from third party providers supporting the wind down.
- Provide support on compliance matters surrounding all retiral benefits across the entire pension trust environment i.e. Expat Out Provident Fund compliance
- Support in Pension benefit design wrt’ Company direction and Social security code roll out and related change comms/ engagement/ system readiness

**Specifications**
- 7-10 years’ experience in managing Pension fund governance and administration across Trust environment, with operational experience of dealing with regulators and regulatory challenges **or**HR Graduate with 5-6 years’ experience having high capacity and an operational experience/ bent of mind with ability to learn/ deliver on the job.
- Should be able to demonstrate:

- Quick understanding of the challenges relating to the complex and regulated area of the wage code and other pensions related legislation within India
- Analytical ability to understand large volume, complex and ambiguous data or conflicting advice and information
- Independent working under broad supervision and peer influencing ability on project deliverables - and ability to influence without formal authority
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
- collaborate with multiple disciplines
- work with and manage internal and external stakeholders, including VP level and above
- End to end project delivery mindset & commercial acumen
- A learner’s mindset having the outlook of Learning & delivering on the job
