Scrum Master

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Ecolab Digital Center as a Data Science Scrum Master. This position will include functioning as the Scrum Master multiple dedicated Scrum teams tasked with several initiatives that are being executed in parallel with the objective of delivering functionality in a modular and agile cadence to meet the business needs.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the business innovation teams, marketing, sales and global customers along with expertise from Ecolab’s Center for Advanced Analytics, to develop the data strategy and advanced analytics pipeline.

Opportunity to stay on the cutting edge of research and then to put this research to practical use by building own software systems. You will be able to see the results of your efforts ripple throughout our systems in real-time. You will design your systems as you see fit, and your work will have a very direct, measurable impact on our core metrics.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Scrum Master,
- you will empower the team to self-organize/self-manage, including Product Owners, stakeholders and technical resources.
- facilitate team meetings, including daily stand-ups, stakeholder meetings, sprint planning, etc.,
- provide input to a cross-divisional, cross-platform organization on how best to utilize our structure and tools to maximize efficiency and results,
- lead the team through sprint planning to gain consensus as to what can be achieved.
- guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers and identify and remove impediments.
- guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Your knowledge of patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: burn-down techniques, retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.) will help you succeed in the Scrum Master role.
- In addition, the person in this role works with team leadership to track timelines, budget and scope.

**Required Qualifications**
- Master or bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of experience in Information Technology
- 5+ years as a Scrum Master
- 3+ years professional experience in a data scientist/analyst role or similar.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps, MS Office, Visio, Power BI, CSM,TDSP, CRISP-DM
- Experience working with cross-functional business stakeholders and Product Owners
- Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
- Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
- expert in estimation and planning. He knows how to create useful, reliable and practical plans

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Familiar of basic concept of Data mining, Machine learning, Deep learning.
- Excellent communication, organizational transformation, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated excellence in the value of metrics and incremental delivery
- Should be a good coach in Agile practices. S/he can coach individuals and interactions over processes and tools.
