**Job Title**: Database Administrator (BDA)

**Job Summary**:
As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. You will also be involved in the planning and development of the database as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Management**:

- Install, configure, and maintain database systems.
- Monitor database performance and optimize as needed.
- Ensure the security of databases and implement backup/recovery processes.
- Manage database access and set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Perform regular system checks and maintenance.
- **Data Integrity and Security**:

- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and security by implementing proper policies and procedures.
- Monitor and enforce database security measures.
- Handle data migrations, transfers, and transformations.
- **Troubleshooting**:

- Troubleshoot database issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
- **Development and Optimization**:

- Optimize database designs and query performance.
- Participate in the development and improvement of database-related processes and systems.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, procedures, and security protocols.
- Generate reports on database performance and health.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with IT and development teams to support ongoing projects.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator, with expertise in database systems such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
- Strong knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
- Experience with database security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with database design and development.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, or similar.
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of database automation tools and scripting languages.
