**A Day in the Life **:Medtronic is expanding their footprint for Diabetes Care with a center in Pune and as a Principal Jira Administrator, for Digital Technology, India, this role is responsible for serving as a primary expert and architect for the Jira platform, helping to lead the strategic direction and long-term roadmap for the tool across the organization within Digital Technology.

**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned**:
As a Principal Jira Administrator within Digital Technology, this role require s a deep understanding of Jira’s capabilities and a proven track record of developing and implementing complex solutions to support enterprise-level project management and collaboration needs.
- Define the strategic vision for Jira and related Atlassian tools, aligning platform capabilities with business objectives and long-term goals.
- Establish governance frameworks, standards, and policies to ensure consistent and effective use of Jira across all teams.
- Lead complex configurations and customizations, including scripting, automation, and integrations, to meet the needs of various teams and processes.
- Architect solutions to optimize Jira performance, scalability, and usability in a high-growth, complex environment.
- Oversee and manage integrations between Jira and other enterprise systems (e.g., Confluence, ServiceNow, CI/CD tools), ensuring data integrity and seamless workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and evaluate new features, plugins, and technologies to enhance the Jira ecosystem.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Jira-related initiatives, gathering requirements, providing updates, and ensuring alignment with business needs.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in Jira administration, with a focus on enterprise-level configuration and architecture.
- Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator or Atlassian Certified Expert.
- Proven experience in leading Jira implementation projects and designing custom solutions.
- Strong experience with Jira Data Center and Cloud environments, including complex migrations and upgrades.
- Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript, or Python) for advanced Jira customizations.
- Experience integrating Jira with external systems using REST APIs and middleware solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize a large-scale, multi-project Jira environment.
