As we progress on this journey, the Communications & Engagement Business Partner will play a critical role in supporting the stand-up and execution of communication activities across two of our strategic sites, based in Bangalore and Chennai, India.

Reporting into the Head of Communications, you will be part of a global communications team, that will represent WPP IT across stakeholder groups both regionally and at a local level.

**What you'll be doing**:
**Strategic communications**
- Establish and execute on the delivery of effective communications and engagement activities across our strategic locations in Chennai and Bangalore.
- Act as a Communications Business Partner, working closely with the Site Lead and People Team to engage colleagues with the strategic vision of reimagining IT at WPP.
- Support local leadership to drive the achievement of their vision and goals through exceptional communications.
- Work closely with the wider Communications and Change Team on storytelling campaigns that clearly articulate WPP IT success stories, and the commercial and operational value that IT delivers across the organisation.
- Lead on campaigns and communications at a local level that help to establish WPP IT as the employer of choice across the region for future-ready tech talent.
- Lead on activities and campaigns at a local level that helping to establish a WPP IT community that is a great place to be for all.

**Stakeholder relationships/ Networks**
- Work with a network of Communications and Change colleagues across WPP IT, to drive an integrated approach to communication, further embedding our vision and narrative.

**Channels/ Events**
- Challenge local IT Leaders and teams to be creative and agile in their approach to colleague engagement, by using a range of content and channels to reach their intended audiences.
- Support and lead on the delivery of inspiring leadership events - both face-to-face and virtually.

**Department**
- Be part of a Communications function that is underpinned by an effective set of foundations (channels, tools, governance, controls, learning & development, etc.), to ensure our stakeholders are set up for sustainable success.
- Work as part of a team of Communication professionals, helping to share best practice and growth opportunities across the IT department.

**What you'll need**:

- Extensive experience across Communications.
- A team player who will help to inspire, engage, and coach colleagues through compelling communications, thus creating an inclusive culture across geographical boundaries
- Previous experience of working in a Transformation and change environment is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate constructively with senior stakeholders and thought leaders across WPP.
- Practical experience of flexing communication styles and techniques according to the audience.
