Scrum Master I

UST is looking for **Scrum Master**

**Responsibilities **- The Scrum Master is a servant leader for the team and must be able to ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum concepts and principles - Responsible for being an essential member of a cross-functional team which focuses on delivering value to the customer while striving for continuous improvement - Accountable for guiding, coaching and motivating the team to follow Scrum / Agile principles and driving process improvement, while maintaining a great team morale - Works with teams to deliver business value and coordinates within and outside of the team to facilitate cross-team dependencies - Promotes attributes of a high functioning dedicated agile team, including perpetuating team dynamics of support and value driven delivery, protecting the teams from outside interference, removing impediments, facilitating Scrum rituals, driving continuous lo improvement, and promoting healthy Agile practices within the teams and across the organization - As part of a larger community of agile practitioners, he/she is an advocate of Agile practices both within the team and the organization - Ensures the performance of all duties in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates - Ensures Agile teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility - Coach the team to self-organize and promotes continuous improvement - Fosters a team environment that encourages team members to both seek help from within the team and lean-in to help the team achieve sprint goals - Facilitates scrum/agile ceremonies - Works with team to identify capacity to ensure they can meet the sprint objectives - Participates in discussions related to trade-offs to bring in new work - Effectively provides, collects, and shares data to help the team see information it needs to identify areas where they need to learn and grow and display process toward desired outcomes - Actively participates in the maturation process of the Agile model and methodologies within the organization - Assist the Product Owner in maintaining a healthy Product Backlog - Support and manage multiple teams Qualifications - Expertise with Agile methodologies like Scrum, Kanban and SAFe - Excellent facilitation and mentoring skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all layers within the organization - Effective organizational and time management skills - Ability to make decisions that have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and cross functional departments - Ability to make presentations, inside and outside the organization - Ability to work with little to no supervision while performing duties - Minimum of five (5) + years' experience working in a software development organization, preferably in an agile environment - Experience working in an iterative Development environment, utilizing Scrum/ Lean inspired practices required - Demonstrates knowledge of, adherence to, monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position Benefits - Aggressive earning potential - Extensive internal growth and professional development opportunities including tuition reimbursement - Comprehensive benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision - Wellness program to support both mental and physical health - Generous paid time off for both exempt and non-exempt positions
