**About Us**:
Good Business Lab is a not-for-profit worker well-being research organization. We design and evaluate programs that find common ground between worker well-being in blue-collar settings and business interests, and then through our newest initiative, GBL ventures develop and scale products based on our research. We've worked with corporates such as Shahi Exports, Radnik Exports, H&M, Gap Inc., and GANNI, and are backed by funders such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and academics at the world's top universities such as Harvard Business School.

Our founding team brings together two US-based academics who are professors at the University of Michigan and UC San Diego and have PhDs in economics from Yale University and the head of Organizational Development at Shahi Exports, India’s largest apparel manufacturer. Our work is spread across labour-intensive industries (e.g., garment, electronics, and automobile manufacturing, retail, and food service) in the global south and we maintain offices in India, the US, and Latin America.

We have over 100 global full-time staff across offices worldwide, 17 completed and 16+ ongoing projects across gender, skilling, workplace environment, and health issues, and over 200,000 workers directly impacted.

Overview:
Projects at GBL are centered around building the business case for worker wellbeing. Some examples include looking at the migration experience and mental health of workers and how this is affected by pairing them with experienced workers from their region (through a novel ‘buddy system’), unlocking women’s economic participation through rural training centers, and how an effective grievance redressal system for workers affects their job outcomes.

We have also been building a portfolio of projects focused on the intersection of climate action and worker wellbeing - with ongoing projects focused on a human lens to important sustainability issues like energy efficiency and clean energy transition. Previously, we have rigorously studied the holistic benefits of using energy-efficient technologies, such as LED lights, and the impact of air pollution on the workplace environment.

To further build on these projects, we are looking for a Partnerships Associate to undertake work related to identifying new project opportunities across industries & geographies and building key stakeholder relationships to further our growth and support existing project & funding needs. **Location**: Bangalore

**Length of Commitment**: at least one year

**Remuneration**: 7-8 lacs pa

**Who are you?**
- A Bachelor’s degree in economics, environmental science, political science, international relations, sociology, history, English, communications, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of work experience in the sustainability space
- Advanced writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to self-manage, prioritize and work under pressure to tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated administrative and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Ability to network and build meaningful connections.
- An interest in GBL’s mission and thematic areas of work.
- (Bonus) Understanding of how economic research works/experience of doing economic research

**What will you do?**
- Support GBL’s partnerships strategy by following a systematic, process-driven approach to partner outreach and relationship management.
- Identify and source partnership opportunities with a wide variety of stakeholders and ensure regular documentation of the same in the form of records and logs.
- Conduct background research on organizations we can potentially partner with (for projects, new opportunities, and otherwise across industries and geographies).
- Service ongoing partnerships with implementation agencies, NGOs, consultants, etc.
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing funders
- Provide project management support to other teams and facilitate in servicing project specific partnerships.
- Coordinate and prepare policy memos, concept notes, proposals, presentations, and other targeted communication materials for meetings and other internal/external stakeholder engagements.
- Proactively monitor policy and business developments that concern GBL’s focus areas, especially in the sustainability space, on a regular basis and share updates with the team.
- Invest in improving knowledge of research, development, impact evaluation, sustainability, and social ventures space.
- Represent GBL at forums, conferences, and gatherings and leverage the same to disseminate GBL’s work and identify new partnership opportunities.
- Travel on an occasional basis and as per project requirements.
- Perform other related work as and when needed.
