**Summary**:
As a Restaurant Captain in our hotel, you will oversee the dining room operations, lead the service team, and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. You will coordinate with restaurant staff, communicate with guests, and maintain service standards to uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence in hospitality.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Guest Service Excellence**: Provide exceptional service to guests by greeting them warmly, escorting them to their tables, and assisting with seating arrangements. Anticipate guest needs, answer inquiries, and ensure a pleasant dining experience from arrival to departure.
- **Team Leadership**: Supervise and lead the restaurant service team, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers. Assign duties, provide guidance, and motivate team members to deliver attentive and efficient service.
- **Shift Management**: Coordinate restaurant operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing procedures, staff assignments, and workflow management. Ensure that service stations are set up, stocked, and organized for smooth service delivery.
- **Order Taking and Coordination**: Take guest orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring that special requests, dietary restrictions, and preferences are communicated to the kitchen staff. Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food and beverages.
- **Quality Control**: Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and portion sizes to ensure consistency and adherence to the hotel's standards. Conduct regular inspections of table settings, cleanliness, and ambiance to maintain an inviting dining environment.
- **Upselling and Recommendations**: Promote menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings to guests to enhance their dining experience and increase sales. Make recommendations based on guest preferences, menu knowledge, and seasonal offerings.
- **Guest Relations**: Build rapport with guests, address their feedback or concerns promptly and professionally, and ensure that any issues or complaints are resolved to their satisfaction. Proactively seek feedback to improve service and exceed guest expectations.
- **Training and Development**: Train new restaurant staff on service standards, menu items, and hotel policies and procedures. Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- **Sales and Revenue Generation**: Maximize sales opportunities by promoting hotel services, amenities, and special events to guests. Encourage guests to return and recommend the restaurant to others through exemplary service and personalized attention.

- Knowledge of food and beverage service techniques, menu items, and wine pairings
